CONNECTIONS

- Text:The Book Thief because its about a girl having to live somewhere new because of World War 2
- World: World War 2 because of all the people having to go in hiding just like Anne Frank.
QUESTIONS
- Literal:How many years was Anne in hiding?
- Interpretive:When Mr.Frank reads Anne's diary what does he mean when he says "She buts me to shame."
- Evaluative:How do you think Anne feels about being in hiding?
- Universal: Who does Anne remind you of?
PROTAGONIST: MIEP
- When she says. "None for me thank you." After they offered her a piece of cake, the cake she bought.
- When she placed the word PEACE on the cake then says. " Well it has to come sometime you know."
- Staging: then to Margot feeling her forehead. "How are you feeling, any better?"
ANTAGONIST: MR.VAN DAAN
- Staging:He comes quickly to down the stairs, and he go's to the cupboard where the food is stored.
- When he says:(disgustedlyy) "Mouschi, Mouschi, Mouschi."
- When he says: "Don't tell me! He gets fatter every day! Darn cat looks better than any of us. Out he go's tonight.
SETTING:The setting is in an attic above a factory in Amsterdam, the Nutherlands in the 1940's
INTRO:Anne,her parents, her sister, Mr. And Mrs. Van Daan, and Peter Van Daan have to go into hiding because the nazi's are going to take away Anne's sister Margot.
Rising action:
A couple years into hiding they hear a noise down stairs and then realize that nobody should be there and they fear that who ever was down there might report them to the green police .
CLIMAX
When arguing about food problems and threats of kicking the Van Daans out they hear a noise down stairs and they realize that the noise down stairs is the green police that had found them because of the person who was downstairs that night long ago that actually had reported them and now the green police was there to get them.
CONFLICT:They don't know what will happen to them from there,what life will be like or if they will ever find each other again.
FALLING ACTION: Mr.Frank (Anne's dad) was the only one to make it out of the labor camp, and go's back to the hide out to see if any of his family made it back.
Resolution:
Miep one out of the two
non-Jewish people who helped hide the Franks and the Van Daans was the only one who was still at the factory when Mr.frank got out. When Mr.Frank arrived to the factory she gave him Ann's diary from which he read and felt ashamed of him self because Anne after all the bad things that happened she was still positive about life and people, were he on the other hand didn't think the same.
