  • He really was a hero helping others at everything they needed.

  • Started his career as a outlaw when he was a young man 
  • He was part of Captain Quantrill's Raiders  
  • Even though he was not present at the battle of Centrailia 
  • The battle of Centrailia was a total war act killing innocent people

Jesse James' Criminal Career

1864-1882

  • Jesse James joined the Civil War when the Union killed his younger brother
  • And he joined with his older brother Frank with Captain Quantrill.
  • He wasn't as famous in the war between the states. 

Jesse James' First Bank Robbery

  • Famous for the robbery of the Gallatin Bank.
  • This was the United States first daytime robbery during peace time.
  • This was Jesse James' first criminal act.
  • He divided the money into the families where he lived.
  • He is thought of as a country Robin Hood.

Jesse James' Last Days

  • Jesse James moved from St. Joseph, MO to Kansas City, MO.
  • He was sought after multiple times by the police.
  • He did not hold-up anymore banks after moving Kansas City, MO.
  • Even though he robbed many more before that not all banks.
  • Some were trains, and stagecoaches.

  • Jesse James was in his home when he was shot.
  • The man who shot him was Robert Ford. 
  • Jesse James was shot in his own home.
  • Robert Ford was his cousin.
