Researchers face off over whether newborns are really copycats By: Bruce Bower Date: May 24, 2016

Babies tend to repeat the actions of their parents. Some recent tests were made by psychologist Andrew Meltzoff. He stuck his tongue out and 2-3 week old babies copied him. Tests like these were made to prove that babies do learn habits and actions from their parents.

New Words

Aroused- verb- evoke or awaken, Protrusions- noun- something that protrudes

My Opinion

  • I believe that parents and older people should watch what they do and the way they do it. This because if they do bad things and the babies see that, the babies are likely to do the same. For example, if an older person sais bad words and small children are around, the babies learn from that, and that's ion to follow.
