  • Vast variety of ocean life that swims 1000m under surface of the water
  • Best known to humans where we can easily scuba dive
  • If we lived in the marine ecosystem, it would be wet and the water would be warm
  • Water would be clear and there would be many marine animals (turtles,fish)

BIOTIC FACTORS

  • Things that are living
  • Dolphins, sponges, fish, starfish,
  • seaweed, shrimp, sharks, etc.

ABIOTIC FACTORS

  • Things that are nonliving
  • Water, sand, oxygen, waves, rocks

  • Marine ecosystem is home to seaweed, marine algae,
  • and sea grasses

  • On the surface, animals can become harmed by pollution and also
  • by predators
  • Humans pollute the marine ecosystem by throwing waste on beaches, oil spills

  • Marine animals can become extinct because of these dangers

  • Mostly effected by storms
  • Many unknown species
  • All known soecies are mostly found in the open ocean
  • 50-80% of all life on earth is found under the oceans surface
  • The speed of sound in water is 1435m/sec, which is nearly 5x faster than it is in air
