About Them
Polar Bears live in the Artic
Polar bears have black skin and although their fur appears white, it is actually transparent
It is the largest carnivore (meat eater) that lives on land
Polar bears use sea ice as a platform to hunt seals
Seals make up most of a polar bears diet.

Polar bears, or “sea bears,” are the world’s largest land predators, weighing up to 600 kg (1300 lb.) and measuring up to 3 m (10 ft.) tall
On average they live to be about 25 years old, reaching sexual maturity at around 4 years
Their visibly pale coloring is caused by the reflection and scattering of light
