SPD's vision is to build an inclusive society where everyone is a part of

Fun Facts

• SPD has been around for more than 50 years
• There are 4 SPD centres in Singapore. They are located at Tiong Bahru, Jurong, Toa Payoh and Tampines
• Each Centre serves more than 200 clients everyday
• Formerly known as "Society for the Physically Disabled"

SPD works toward the integration of people with disabilities into mainstream society through programmes that encompass rehabilitation, employment, training, education, consultation and assessment in assistive technology, day care, and social service support.

Not only does SPD help people with physical disabilities they also help people with learning & sensory disabilities

SPD has workshops that provide vocational training and employment, with the aim of promoting participation and inclusion in the workplace

Employment gives people with disabilities FINANCIAL FREEDOM and a SENSE OF SELF WORTH when they are a contributing member of the society.

The clients of SPD want to lead normal independent life like ALL OF US

SPD provides physiotherapy and occupational therapy at their centres. Patients include those with neurological, orthopaedic, medical, surgical conditions and congenital disabilities.

A lot of manpower, time and money is needed to run these rehab centres
