How Did Springfield Become a STW?

• South Carolina joined the State Program in 2006.
• Springfield Middle first expressed interest in 2012.
• After a self-study of our program offerings and a review of Schools to Watch criteria, the decision was made that Springfield was not yet ready to apply
• Changes to academic program during 2013 and 2014 led to the decision to apply in Fall 2015.
• The application was reviewed and Springfield was granted a site visit on November 12, 2015.
