THE RACE OF GOLD

• Race of gold was the first generation to inhabit the grain-giving earth.
• Everything was all heavenly, everyone respects each other, and they all like each other.
• The weathers are good, the drinks are good, so they basically have a perfect life.
• And all of them died peacefully.

THE RACE OF SILVER

• Second generation of mortals created by Zeus
• Each child stayed home
• Devoted life to childish pleasures

• Lives were short and unhappy
• Selfish behavior created war
• Didn't respect deathless gods
• Zeus became angry
• Changed weather into 4 seasons

• Forests didn't provide shelter so they built houses
• No food
• Grew crops
• Short life, went to underworld

RACE OF BRONZE

• Weakens were bronze
• Inferior to silver race because they were cruel
• Loved Ares, gods of war
• Died young because brought Black Death (all the wars led to it)
• Underworld

RACE OF HEROES

• Noble
• Some died in a battle against Troy and other battles
• Others were blessed at the ends of earth
• Live at the shore of Oceanus where there were sweet fruit three times a year
• Ruled by Cronus

RACE OF IRON

• Days filled with work and grief, many mortals die
• Worst crimes
• Divided earth
• Sailed to find land
• Found secret treasure
• Led to wars
• If they will not change their ways, Zeus will send them to the Underworld

I THINK...

• Some races were nicer to each other than others
• Threatens people to be civilized, else Zeus will kill them
• My favorite was the race of gold because their life sounds comfortable and easy
