SEGREGATION

In Montgomery, AL, everything was segregated; vending machines, drinking fountains, bathrooms, and most importantly, buses. In bus businesses, the first 10 seats were reserved for whites, the other 26 were for black passengers. The more the bus filled up with whites, blacks had to move to the back or get off.
