  • George Washington was born on February 22,1732 and died on December 14, 1799(67 years old).
  • He served as a representative to the Constitutional Congress.
  • He commanded the Continental Army.
  • He was also unanimously elected for two terms as president.

JAYS TREATY

  • On November 19, 1794 representatives of the United States and Great Britain signed Jay's Treaty, which sought to settle outstanding issues between the two countries that had been left unresolved since American Independence.

WHISKEY'S REBELLION

  • The Whiskey Rebellion, was a tax protest in the United States beginning in 1791, during the presidency of George Washington. The so-called "whiskey tax" was the first tax imposed on a domestic product by the newly formed federal government.

PINCKEY'S TREATY

  • Pinckney's Treaty, was signed in San Lorenzo de El Escorial on October 27, 1795 and established intentions of friendship between the United States and Spain.
