PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW DID THE FRIDGE CHANGE THE WORLD

Before the early 19th century, people relied on ice, snow and naturally cool areas in their houses to preserve foods that were for the most part produced locally.

Today refrigeration technology in commercial food production and at home means that we have easy access to a broad array of foods from around the world. This change has a significant impact on the way we shop for food, and how we manage the food we purchase.

IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT ice cream, fresh fruit, cold beer or frozen entrees.

THE FRIDGE THROUGH HISTORY

Refrigerators have greatly evolved from the initial idea of preserving food. However, the fundamental purpose of the refrigerator has not changed and will not change

The invention of the refrigerator’s system has greatly evolved over time and has greatly impacted society with it’s design and purpose.

The only way to preserve meat and fish was by salting. Each culture had their own ways of keeping their foods cool and preserved. The ability to preserve foods without altering its original taste and nutrients was very important

These methods of refrigerating can be traced back when the Chinese started to cut ice blocks for refrigeration purpose. Hebrews, Greeks, and Romans placed large amounts of snow into storage pits that were dug into the ground and insulated with wood and straw.
Ancient Egyptians filled jars with boiled water and put them on their roofs at night, exposing the jars to the cool air, producing ice

Later, 18th century England had icehouses, lined with ice that were collected in the winter. In these icehouses, sheets of ice were packed in salt, wrapped in strips of flannel, and stored underground to keep goods frozen though the summer. These breakthroughs in ideas and methods led the way to the production of the technology used in refrigerators of today

The first practical refrigerating machine was produced in the Industrial Revolution was the time when many important inventions were created and improved, including the invention of the first practical refrigerator

How the refrigerator has changed our lives
The refrigerator is a key factor in our lives. The refrigerator has changed our
lives. The refrigerator helps us by preserving foods and keeping food cold. The
refrigerator is used all over the world today. The refrigerator helps people to plan

Refrigerators also come in all different colors, such as white, cream, red, black,
sliver, wood, metal, and, brown.

CONCLUSION
To conclude, the refrigerator has helped many lives. The refrigerator has
made it possible to store food longer. The refrigerator also helps chill
things, such as medicine, and food. If, it was not for Oliver Evans we
