MICROBIOLOGY AND PLANT BIOLOGY

BY: JOSHUA LOWE

PLANT BIOLOGY

  • There are a wide majority of how many classes plants there are.
  • Most plants have 3 distinct and important section that are each their own essential functions.
  • They are: Leaves, Stems and branches and Roots

BOTANY

  • A "botanist" who studies in the field.
  • Botany includes the study of fungi and algae and are studied by mycologists and psychologists.

BIOCHEMISTRY

  • Biochemistry is the branch of science concerned with the chemical and physicochemical processes that occur within living organisms.

BOTANY

  • Botany distinguishes true roots such as tuberous roots and taproots from non-roots.
  • They are tubers, rhizomes, corms, and bulbs, though some contain both taproot and hypocotyl tissue, making it difficult to tell some types apart.

MICROBIOLOGY

  • Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms.
  • It can come in unicellular or single cell.
  • It can come in multicellular or cell colony.
  • It can lastly come in acellular or cells that lack.
  • Microbiology encompasses numerous sub-disciplines including virology, mycology, parasitology, and bacteriology.

MICROBIOLOGY

  • Eukaryotic microorganisms possess calcium dumb cell organelles and include hydrogen and helium.
  • Microbiology can be in extreme environments, one reason is microbiologists have developed culture methods to make them grow and be isolated.

ANTONIE PHILIPS VAN LEEUWENHOEK

  • He is the "Father Of Microbiologist" and was a Dutch tradesman and a scientist.
  • He was born on October 24, and died in August 26, 1723.
  • He was also the first microbiologist.
