Lesson 1

Architecture

• They have shown us have to build using support beams, domes for efficiency, and other major things we use in our homes.
• Ionic columns that were made in Greece long ago are used still to this day in the united states capitol, and are used to hold the weight of the roof.
• This is important because if the ancient civilizations like Greece didn't invent what they did, the world would be suffering in the direction of architecture.

Lesson 2

Written Language

• Ancient Egypt has greatly influenced our form of writing, because of their writing technique. They use hieroglyphs, which are pictures instead of words to describe certain things, making picture books for children in our modern day society.
• Mesopotamia invented the Cuneiform Scripts which were plates with hieroglyphs on them telling information or a story, which influenced us to write books in the format of a "page."

Reoccurring Factors

• Excessive pride is bad because it causes the people to care too much about themselves and not others. This occurred with the roman army and caused them to be too full of themselves, which ultimately lead to their downfall.
• Unregulated immigration is a bad reoccurring factor because in the United States we have too many illegal immigrants crossing the boarder from Mexico. Just like in Rome, they let barbarians in and gave them rights, which helped the downfall come quicker. This is an economical issue because the USA would have to support more people than needed to.
• Lower compassion toward lower quality humans is an issue because in America, the home of the free, women are still treated unequally. They make less money than men in jobs that they can do, which is a social issue. its not as bad as the ancient civilizations where women couldn't go in public, but it's still unequal. This is also a economic problem because less money for the women that are single moms are most likely in poverty now, because of the unfairness of life.

Seeds Of Destruction

• Americans are not learning from history; Americans are prideful, just like Rome, and the British Empire, before it fell. Citizens become too comfortable, too corrupt, too caught up in the pursuit of happiness and power. Technology made people lazier and lazier, and progressively more spoiled.
