13th Amendment

  • It stated that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." which means slavery in the US was no longer alive.
  • It was passed january 31, 1865
  • It was ratified December 6, 1865

14th Amendment

  • It stated that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside..." which means all men are citizens in every US state.
  • It was ratified July 9, 1868

15th Amendment

  • It stated that "...right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." which means all men in the US have the right to vote.
  • It was ratified February 3, 1970
