“Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
MATTHEW 1:20 - 21

MARK

31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
MATTHEW 13:31 - 32

Moses who extended his once-leprous hand as a sign of his calling (Exod 4:6–7), Jesus stretches out his hand but this time to the leper (1:40–45). Moses called twelve tribes to himself; Jesus calls twelve apostles to himself (3:13–19). Moses allowed the sea to collapse back on to Pharaoh’s army; Jesus does much the same with a herd of swine (5:1–20).

1Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed.
Mark 6:1

21He said to them, “Today this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing.”*
22And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They also asked, “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?”
Luke 4:21 -22

When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread. 4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’
Luke 11: 2-4

JOHN

The word became flesh": John 1:14.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.”
John 6:63 - 64
