NATIVE AMERICANS CULTURE

  • Native American tribes in the new world were in regional groups based on where they lived and the languages that they spoke. Some of the tribes include the Eastern Woodlands, who were the first Native Americans to meet European settlers in the new world.
  • There language groups was iroquan, Algonquin, and Muskohegen. These language groups separated the tribes,region,and culture.
  • The region that the Catawba lived in was South Carolina they believed in

EUROPEANS

  • Spain,England,and France motives for exploration,was to find land from mercitalism. They accomplish it by taking land and the new world and extracted resources from the colonies they created, and brought them to Europe to manufacture them. And to goods to sell.

AFRICAN

  • The Africans slaves were used as a work force, to help plantations it develope the Carolinas by making people more wealthy and having more free time. Free Africans were able to leave the state,and build their lives under discrimination,and not able to vote.the Carolina's imported many Africans, which out numbered the colonist which led to the stono rebellion.mafter the stono rebellion, slave codes were made to prevent another slave revolt.

ECONOMY

  • Only male white colonist were able to vote for whom they thought would be the best leader/governor. Then they also had slaves to develope the economy to make the colonist more wealthy, by doing there work. With crops that they discovered rice and indigo become major cash crops in growing settlements, to make a lot of money by shipping them to Europe

GOVERNMENT

  • The colony of South Carolina was ruled by proprietors, and they wanted a royal government, after 10 years they switched a royal colony. They had a democratic government that they thought was threatened by Britain. In S.C they voted For who they thought was best to rule them. Whenever a colonist found land a proprietary regime gave them a certain amount of land. The regulator movement in the backcountry was to rid it of crime and disorder. The circuit court act was then later establish d after it.
