  • Significance: first code of laws written from the Romans. It helped protect all citizens and their rights.

PUNIC WARS

  • 264-146 B.C
  • Significance: In the 3rd BC, Carthage and Rome fought against each other. Rome took control over the Mediterranean. This made them the World Power in charge.

HANNIBAL

  • 218 B.C
  • Significance: He was the greatest general who led his armies and elephants to fight against the Romans.

ROMAN REPUBLIC

  • 509 B.C
  • Significance: It represented liberty to people. It also set a self-government to the Italian cities.

  • 27 B.C
  • Significance: It helped changed things around before the Middle Ages hit. It was a renewal for people to change.

JULIUS CEASAR

  • 100 BC
  • Significance: He changed the Roman Empire into a Monarchy and he was famous for the Gaul.

AUGUSTUS

  • 31 BC
  • Significance: Augustus transformed Rome, professionalized the army, and initialized a peace.

PAX ROMANA

  • 27 BC - 180 AD
  • Roman belief
  • Significance: It described the phenomenon and there was a United land.

COLISEUM

  • 250 AD
  • Significance: It puts the purpose of life, education and citizen privileges and rights together.
