  • Mozambique is one of the richer country's thanks to their coal mines
  • Malaria is the leading killer in Mozambique
  • Their economy grows 7% each year
  • The population 24,096,669
  • The life expectancy:49

POVERTY AND HEALTHCARE

  • The people are threatened by the number of deadly diseases
  • Food is also scarce there

FOOD AND DALIY LIFE

  • 4/5 of people live in rural areas
  • Fishing continues to be done in traditional methods

PEOPLE AND CULTURE

  • There are many people who can speak almost 40 different languages
  • There are lots of local dance ceremony's
  • The most well known ceremony is the mapiko dance

GEOGRAPHY AND WILDLIFE

  • The southern part of Mozambique is mostly costal plains
  • The Zambezi and Limpopo rivers run through Mozambique
  • There are lots of whales and whale sharks there

CLIMATE AND AGRICULTURE

  • Higher land is colder and lower land is hotter
  • In the south they have very little rainfall
  • Fishing is a economic activity

ECONOMY AND INDUSTRY

  • The most important earner for Mozambique is aluminum
  • Even though Mozambique has a good economy it still remains one of the worlds poorest country's
  • International companies are setting factory's and work places there

EDUCATION AND JOBS

  • In 1974 not many schools were available
  • In the 1990s lots more schools opened
  • Many girl leave education at 14 to marry since it is traditional

HISTORY AND POLITICS

  • In the 11th century kingdoms used the river through Mozambique as a passage to sea
  • People traded on the coastline of Mozambique
  • During WW2 they focused more on food

PROBLEMS

  • There are a lot of diseases that are very deadly.
  • Theres not much money for food there was even a fight when they raised the price of bread.
