meat was eaten perhaps twice a week and usually with vegetables, pasta or grains

Zeus was responsible for the weather and shaped it according to his temper
Zeus was the "Lord of Justice"

He invented the lute, a plucked string instrument with a body shaped like a pear
Apollo excelled in important music contests

Goddess of the harvest and mother of Persephone

Girls were given a good education in both the arts and athletics
Women owned more than a third of the land
