PATHOS

  • Feelings
  • An appeal to an audiences needs values or emotions
  • Emotional appeals are not used as often in acedemic persuation

ETHOS

  • Based on trust
  • Is an appeal to ethics
  • An appeal to the character
  • Convince the reader you are reliable and believable

IT HAPPENS FIRST

  • If one small thing happens it will lead to a larger worse thing

I DONT LIKE THEM

  • Claims someone else is wrong because the author disapproves of the person stating the argument
