• More than 90% of the time down syndrome is caused by truism
• Trisomy 21 is caused by abnormal cell divising during development
• No known beneficial development factors that cause down syndrome
• Father is caring-risk 3% mother caring-15%
• People that are born with down-syndrome are born with heart problems etc

• Mother can take a test for the down syndrome blood sampling
• High risk for kids to get down syndrome
• 11 out of 69 children are born with it
