The narrator is mad but wants to be convinced that he is not.

The old man's pale blue vulture eye mad the narrator uncomfortable.

The look of the old man's eye scare him to see it wherever he looks.

After the narrator sharing his feelings he comes to a conclusion to get rid of the eye.
*Madness is a disease that can affect other people

The narrator planned to kill the old man while he was sleeping to get rid of the eye.

The narrator kills the old man with the bed and suffocates him. He is now relieved the eye is gone.

Once he finally got rid of the eye he was happy, and had no pity for what he done.

The narrator dismembered the corpse. Cutting off his head, arms, and legs and hiding them where they cant be found or seen.

After killing the old man, police arrived at the old man's home to confiscate it.
*Guilt can cause people to behave irrationally

The narrator spazed out and became wild and more crazy and showed the police where the old man's deceased parts were.

Going off to jail because he hated so much as an eye color and tone.
*Judging people by their looks can eventually come back to you.
