What is a herbivore?
A herbivore is an animal that eats only plants and nothing else.

Herbivores generally eat only the fruits and vegetables of plants.
But some eat plant parts as well like leaves and grasses.

Plants are hard for animals to break down, so many herbivores have special digestive systems to help them break the plants down.

They also have to stay safe from predators.
