What is GHB?
GHB is a drug that effects the central nervous system, working as a sedative giving the body a calm feeling and you have no memory of when the drug was in your system, making it a popular date rape drug.
HOW DOES GHB EFFECT THE BODY
- Effects the brain with confusion and memory loss
- You cant tell whats happening in the "real world"
- It is a centeral nervous system depressent
- Low doses- nausea, unconcisness and slowed heart rate
- High doses- seizures, coma, even death
Why do people try GHB?
People try GHB because it causes a very calming effect on the body, causing you to forget about the stress in your life. GHB is also a popular date rape drug, being mixed in with alcohol at parties causing girls to be taken advantage of and they have no memory of what happened.
Consequences of using GHB are hallucinations, decreased anxiety, nausea, unaware of what is actually happening. The effect of GHB lasts 3-6 hours and has a very strong withdrawal effect.
