Hes a smart dude who can't help but criticise and basically be a hypocrite

Self

He thinks for himself. Has individuality.

Jealousy

Jealous of the norms of society, he wants to be like everyone else

Hypocrite/Jealous

Judges and criticizes the dystopians, but he wants to be just like them

Intelligent

Can think for himself, so he expands his thought to where others dont.

Bernard Marx

He is jealous of the "dystopians", yet he despises them.
He wants to be like everyone else, so he will feel normal.
His intelligence is expanded through his non restrictive thought.
He has sexual frustration due to his lack of confidence and jealousy
of other males and their mindset.
