Los Angeles is home to Hollywood, internationally known as the heart of the movie industry.

There are more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city in the world.

The Academy Awards, which are the oldest and one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the world are hosted in L.A. every year.

It's also home to the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the oldest film school in the United States.
