PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW TO DO:

BASIC CHEERLEADING POSITIONS, AND TUMBLING.

Thesis:
For my how to project I have chosen to do basic cheer positions, and tumbling for the class. I have chosen to do this because it is one of the only things I know how to do. I also choose to do this so if someone in the class goes to a sports game and there are cheerleaders they know what the cheerleaders are doing. Another reason is in case there is any future cheerleaders in the class.

METERIALS:

  • Yourself and some friends/ fellow cheerleaders
  • Pom poms
  • Tumbling mat
  • Cheer shoes and uniform
  • Hair elastic and hair bow

READY POSITION

  • First spreads our legs making a upside down V.
  • Then bend your arms behind your back.
  • While holding your right hand in your left hand.
  • Unless you have Pom poms then you put them side by side while in your hands.

HIGH V

  • First put unsourced legs together and lock your knees.
  • Then put your arms up in the air in the shape of a uppercase V.
  • Lock your elbows.
  • Put your hands in the form of a fist.

LOW V

  • First your legs together and lock your knees.
  • Then you put your arms by your side making a upside down V
  • While locking your elbows.
  • Then you straighten your wrists and put your hands in the form of a fist.

T

  • First putyour legs together and lock your knees.
  • Then put your arms out straight by you sides.
  • While locking your elbows.
  • Next you straighten your wrists and put your hands in the form of a fist.

LIBERTY

  • First put your legs together and lock your knees.
  • Then you put your left hand on your left hip.
  • While putting your right hand straight upon the air.
  • Make sure your right wrist is straight and your hands are in fists.

HAND STAND

  • First put your dominate foot either in front of you on ground or off.
  • While having you hand in front of you.
  • Then push back on you feet while leaning froward and putting hands on the ground.
  • Then push up on your legs so they are straight up in the air(keep them straight)
  • When you are unable to hold yourself up anymore then slowly put you dominate foot on the ground.

HANDSTAND PART TWO

  • Then your undo minute foot while taking you hands of the ground.

CARTWHEEL

  • Start in the same position as the handstand but more turned to the side.
  • Then lean forwards while taking your undo undominate foot off the ground.
  • and putting you dominate hand on the ground.
  • Then put your undominate hand on the and taking your dominate foot off the ground.
  • Hold yourself up while having you legs in a V shape.

CARTWHEEL PART TWO

  • Then put your undominate foot back on the ground .
  • While taking your undominate hand off of the ground.
  • When done with step two put you either foot on the ground.
  • While doing step three take your other hand off of the ground.
  • Remember this is meant to be done in a very fast motions.

ROUNDOFF

  • A rounded is kind of like a Cartwheel
  • You do the same steps up until the end.
  • When near the end you put both feet back on the ground at the same time and together.
  • While taking both hands of the ground.
  • If doing a pop turn, you land then jump up clap your hands above you and turn to the opposite derection.
