ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN
Color - must flow in the arrangement to fit the occasion
Line - the part/piece that draws your attention to follow it through the design
Form - the shape the finished arrangement makes
Texture - the different materials used that have different surfaces
Balance - looks or is balanced, not tipping over
Proportion - how big one part is compared to another or the whole thing
Scale - the size compared to the environment it's in
Focal point - center of attention, what you see first
Emphasis - when a certain area has more than the rest
Rhythm - how the flowers/plant materials are arranged to cause repetition or causes movement in the design
Harmony - when it looks neat and the colors and everything go together well
Unity - everything ties in to the one arrangement, complete
