• The battle lasted 2 days.
• Each side lost and gained.

CLARA BARTON

• Army volunteer.
• Her work was the basis for American Red Cross.

BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG

• Started with the south attacking north.
• The battle lasted 6 weeks.
• Over half of the confederates were killed, lee retreaded.
