There is no known treatment for SARS.
Pneumonia usually develops with SARS and is treated with antibiotics.

BREATHING PROBLEMS CAN BECOME SEVERE TO WHERE A MECHANICAL RESPIRATOR IS NEEDED.
SARS CAN BE FATAL DUE TO RESPIRATORY FAILURE.

PREVENTION

• Wash hands and personal items with soap and hot water.
• Wear disposable gloves when dealing with patients with SARS
• Wear a surgical mask
• Disinfect surfaces
