PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Transpiration-
the process by which moisture is carried through plants from roots to small pores on the underside of leaves, where it changes to vapor and is released to the atmosphere.
Dehydration -
Plants don't have enough water so it is lack of turgor pressure
Turgor Pessure-
the pressure exerted on a plant cell wall by water passing into the cell by osmosis Also called hydrostatic pressure
Phototropism -
the orientation of a plant or other organism in response to light, either toward the source of light ( positive phototropism ) or away from it ( negative phototropism ).
Gravitational Tropism-
Gravitropism (also known as geotropism) is a turning or growth movement by a plant or fungus in response to gravity
Plants respond to tons of types of stimuli. Few examples are touch, light(or radiant energy), their environment, and other outside forces. However, stimuli can cause an internal or external response. An example would be light. As plants crave for the juicy radiant energy of the sun, the continue to grow towards the nearest opportunity to receive what lets them live, causing an internal response.
