PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
IMITATION
By Justina parks and Lahoma
2.
MAIN IDEA
Behavior branches from the beliefs or punishes one believes.
People tend to copycat their idolized criminals.
They see that criminal as a inspiration.
So they are more likely to commit the same crime themselves.
3.
HOW?
Theory came about from observing individuals
This theory is still valid today.
4.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Important because it makes criminals more predictable.
Ex: the fame or attention a criminal receives by the media
Could push someone to do the same crime for attention.
5.
CAN IT BE FIXED?
Offer positive roll models to people
Positive roll models would cancel out negative ones.
