Date of Death: April 16, 1828
He died at 82 years old in Bordeaux, France.

He was the appointed paintor for Charles III and the court painter for Charles IV

His dark artwork (Black Paintings) and protests against war
Regarded both as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns
He is considered to be the greatest painter of his era.

It was eventually transferred onto canvas
It depicts Saturn eating his child upon its birth. He feared his children would overthrow him one day.
