Our faith in Jesus Christ will not prevent suffering, but will give us the strength, and the hope, to persevere.

"We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life."
Romans 6:4

The Paschal Mystery means that like Jesus we too will suffer, but we have hope in new life of the Resurrection.
