  • The men went hunting, but the woman made seed bead earrings
  • When the men were gone the women would plant, so children would help
  • The men like working and hunting whereas women and children like prepareing food

  • Whenever the men hunt they go for fish,deer,and beaver.
  • They mostly dryed food; maybe cooked on a special ocassion.
  • The men were the only one able to hunt even thought girls wanted to also.

General Information

  • The Huron's grouped together with the French because they were fighting against British and Iroquois Confederacy.
  • The men went to hunt only, yet 1 girl may go.
  • The women wouldn't go hunt ,nor would the children.

  • People would hunt so much that now it is very rare to hunt and kill a few different animals.
  • If one person went walking somewhere they would always have a weopon on them.

Housing

  • The housing was called a longhouse.
  • The house was for 6 families.
