STAGE 1(PRE-CIVILIZATION)

  • Hunting/Gathering
  • Population total is low,fertility rate is high.
  • Low longevity,high infant mortality rates.
  • The birth rate is about 35 for every 1000.
  • The death rate reflects if it is a "good/bad" year.

STAGE 2(URBANIZING-INDUSTRIALIZING)

  • Farmers growing food.Agriculture begins to rise.
  • More complex societies,and job specializations.
  • Most people live in rural areas.
  • Technolgy advancements.
  • Longevity increase.

STAGE 3(MATURE INDUSTRIAL)

  • Cultural Lag cause chang in older traditions.
  • People live in the big city(urban areas).
  • More technolgy advancements.
  • Education icrease pop. and longevity rates.
  • Educating women means lowering fertility rates.

  • NO farming anymore.
  • Many people working in service jobs.
  • People live overwhelmingly urban areas.
  • Highest levels of technology in everything.
  • Like the USA and other European countries.
