I is for intelligent. The greaser boys are wise when they start to interact with the Soc boy. They want to stay on their good sides. They play it safe. Pony soon realizes that randy(the soc) is more of a person than he thought Socs were

J is for judgemental. Ponyboy and any other greaser members get judged so much just for being a greaser. In the rumble the Socs pick on the greasers for what they wear and where they come from.

K is for knock. Ponyboy was afraid that during the rumble a soc would knock out his teeth. Pony also got knocked to the ground, then a soc ran along and stepped on him. He gets crushed and the wind gets knocked out of him.

L is for liquor. A few of the greasers will get 'high' before a rumble. Ponyboy chooses not to drink. The boys spend a lot of their money on alcohol.

M is for muscle. Darry has muscle. He is very strong and you can see his muscles through his shirt. It seemed as if no one would take him on.

N is for nobody. Ponyboy feels like a nobody. He feels like the Socs are the only people that matter and can make a difference. The greasers are the outsiders in this situation and in turn they feel like nobodies.

O is for outsider. The greasers represent the outsiders. The greasers feel like they don't belong with the Socs and they feel like they aren't much good. This makes the greaser gang outsiders.

P is for puzzled. When the boys were getting ready to fight but he gets confused. He dosent see the point in fighting. He thinks that fighting can't solve a serious problem.

Q is for quit. When the greasers rumbled with the Socs, the Socs stopped fighting. This is a sign of defeat. The greasers were happy when the Socs left.
