A lot of older women are beat because of their wealth... They can't speak up because of their fear of their caregivers.
Elderly abuse is relates to The Giver because when the elders are released in the book they are killed right after.
The past of elderly abuse happened because of wealth. A man/women would beat their elders to get money.
