  • The Shia faith was a unifying force
  • Their leader thought of himself as a spiritual leader

  • Conflict with the Ottomans
  • Strong army
  • Regained land from the Ottomans
  • Eventually a peace treaty was signed

  • began to get under attack by many different nations
  • lost land and finally the country

  • They firmly controlled the power of the land of the aristocracy
  • Islam was declared the state religion
  • Goods traveled by horse or camel

US Muslims Today

  • Very religious
  • Trying to convert others to their religion
  • Maintain their faith, because they are being persecuted
  • For these teens, they would stand out more, which could cause a variety of things.
  • Their faith would be challenged most definitely and some people may try to get them to convert to a different religion.

  • Location: India
  • It was famous because it combined Persian, Indian, and Islamic influences
  • used many different cultures
