Ch. 15 I'm Sleeping In A Dead Girl's Room!

  • Bud is living in what is known as Grand Calloway Station.
  • He has a room that, apparently, belonged to a girl, who is now DEAD.
  • Bud decided to ghost-proof his room, in case the dead girl came after him.
  • The "ghost-proofed" room was ineffective on humans such as Herman E. Calloway.

CH. 16 The Naming Ceremony

  • The members of the Dusky Devastators of the Depression decide to give Bud a name in their band.
  • Suggested names were: Waterworks Willie, Sleepy, Bone, LaBone, and then the band compromised, with Sleepy LaBone.

Ch. 17 Mrs. Thomas And The Dusky Devastators Of The Depression And A Mean Old Guy On The Giant Fiddle

  • Bud is being worked by Herman E. Calloway, whom I am now calling Mr. C.
  • The band starts practicing, and Bud thinks that what they're playing sounds like a storm.
  • Mrs. Thomas starts singing, and while the band was a storm, she was being the sun, metaphorically.
