BATTLE OF CAMDEN
- The battle of Camden was when the patriots fled from the British.
- The British fired and the militia on the left side fled the battlefield.
- Horatio Gates was inexperienced and unprepared.
- He ignored advice from locals to March the continental army through rich farmland where there was patriot support and food.

BATTLE OF SAVANNAH
- This battle was fought between the American patriot militia and the continental army
- American colonist rejected the legitimacy of the British parliament to govern the 13 colonies without representation.
- The French bombed Savannah and joint forces and then advanced into Savannah. However, they were halted by the British.
- The British encouraged the loyalist to fight against Americans, but failed to get the response they anticipated.

- American colonists volunteered as soldiers to fight in colonial militias and with patriot partisan groups.
- Most patriots were from the Low Country and fought in small militias in their local areas.
