This is a detailed explanation as to why I should be allowed to audition for America's Got Talent and American Idol during the summer of 2016.

I am a very talented singer. Also, I am humble. How do I know this? Because I have been told this many times.

It would be a fantastic learning experience. Even if I don't make it, I will see what it's really like to perform in front of actual judges with lots of pressure. But I'll make it, don't worry.

I really enjoy singing, and auditioning for the shows would give me something to look forward to and work towards. I enjoy most things I do, but this would be the best.

I have. The talent show? I have to practice for that. I would just think of this as another talent show, just on a slightly larger scale. And televised. Minor detail.

It is. Ever since I saw the show the first time when I was seven, I just knew that would be me one day. Not even owning a cat was bigger than this.

So, dear mom and dad, I am begging you. Please let me audition.
