I is for innocent
In the book the main quote remember is stay gold which is like saying stay innocent. Ponyboy is the most innocent out of the whole gang. He's the most innocent because he hasn't witnessed all the hard ships that the rest have.
J is for Johnny
Johnny is the second youngest of the gang and got beat up by the socs. Johnny is ponyboy best friend beside soda. Johnny's parents aren't the best because his dad a busses him and his mom just sits there and let's him
K is for kids
After dinning with Dally Johnny and ponyboy come back to the church, it's on fire with kids trapped in it Johnny and ponyboy run in and save the kids. While saving the kids one of the kids bit ponyboy. After saving the kids from the church they went to the hospital with a few burns and Johnny had severe burns and a broken back
L is for lesson
Throughout the whole book everyone of the characters and readers are learn new lessons. One of the lessons learned is that nobody's life is perfect. That lesson is learned is from the socs and greasers both having their own troubles in life,
M is for Murder
After Darry and ponyboy get in a fight ponyboy goes back to the park with Johnny. While they're at the park smokes socs come and one of the socs are start drowning ponyboy in the fountain, Johnny stabs him. After Johnny stabs the soc they go to Dallys house for help.
N is news paper
After saving the kids from the church they put it in the news paper that delinquents became heroes. The news paper headline shows the prejudice in the city at that time in history. After getting out of the hospital a soc comes and asked ponyboy why Johnny and him saved the kids, ponyboy said that if he was pit in that position he would've did the same.
O is for outsiders
Everyone is an outsider in the book. They're all outsiders because none of them fit In with the everybody. Everyone is different in the same ways meaning that while they're different they have some similarities.
P is for police
In the book ponyboy states that you you never want to be present whe the police show up. After stabbing the soc Johnny and ponyboy hide from the police in an old church.
Q is for quite
While in the church ponyboy and Johnny have to be quit. Another thing they have to be quote about is not telling that Johnny helped them find a place after the murder. After Darry comes to visit them they get sick of having to stay quit and want to turn themselves in.
