PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TECH RECESS

PLAY. EXPLORE. SHARE.

CONFLICT

Conflict is everywhere. You cannot have entertainment without it.

We learn from the struggle.

Children know this. When they create a game, they are creating a set of conflicts against which players must struggle.

So we as adults must recognize our conflicts as we figure out how best to struggle against them.

EXPLORE

Once we identify the conflicts in our classes, we need to explore the possible solutions.

Maybe there's something you've always used that will address your current need, but more than likely there is something else out there that you don't know about that will address your need in a way that speaks to the students.

A SOLUTION

REMIND 101
Remind 101 allows you to create a one-way line of communication to disseminate information to your students and even their parents if the choose. Send reminders, instructions, or motivations to one, two, or all your classes instantly or schedule them to be sent at a later time.

THE PROBLEM

DISPLAYING STUDENT WORK
Students are creating work that is increasingly difficult to showcase in our classrooms.

Photos, videos, and 3D creations don't lend themselves to easily or inexpensively being hung on classroom walls, so we need to find creative ways to showcase that work.

You cannot have fun with a description of the conflict. The experience comes from the determination to overcome the conflict.
