SYMPTOMS

THERE IS NO CURE, BUT TREATMENT/THERAPY IMPROVES FUNCTIONING AND BEHAVIORS

MEDICAL THERAPY IS NOT AFFECTIVE

• TREATMENT INVOLVES A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH.
• Symptoms can range from mild to severe
• Very high functioning autism
• Most toddlers show signs first

FAMILY may get frustrated,but learn to be patient

• SIBLINGS MAY HAVE TO DO MORE WORK AND CHORES FOR THEM
• They have the inability to understand the intent of others actions
• Be cautious with their feelings
• Help them understand right from wrong

• Stress therapy is a daily thing for teens that are diagnosed

IF SYMPTOMS ARE PRESENT THE DOCTOR WILL BEGIN AN EVALUATION

• There are no medication to treat asperger syndrome itself
• They group it with other conditions called autistic plectrum disorders
• be calm or patients stress level will rise and cause an unwanted behavior

CHILDREN WITH THIS SYNDROME TYPICALLY FUNCTION BETTER THAN THOSE W/"AUTISM"
