EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Classes in high school
  • Should complete a formal training program
  • Also complete an internship
  • The american culinary federation offers certification
  • You can go to college

THE WORK SETTING

  • It is a full time job
  • You may work up to 12 hours a day
  • At peek times your job may get stressful
  • What i would like about the job is doing something i love
  • What i might dislike is the preparation before becoming a culinary chef

  • Earnings vary depending on where and what type of establishment one works
  • The median salary of chefs and head cooks were $42,480
  • Hourly wages were 20.42
  • Other median salaries of cooks can be $22,170
  • Hourly wages for cooks are $10.59

MY PERSONAL ASSESSMENT

  • I believe this occupation would fit for me because i dont want to be sitting in a desk all day
  • This occupation fits my personality because i love food and i love to cook and fuse flavors together.
  • I am also very interested in being a chef because i love to see the look on peoples faces when they taste something great!!!
  • There is one value i live by which is if you love what you do thats all that matters.

  • Create theme menus,ideas for decor
  • Ensure that the kitchen and its staff are clean at all times
  • Creating meals that are tasty
