• Learn about current issues country might have
• Exchange some money before hand into country's currency

• If you don't need it, don't take it
• Keep in a safe place
• Don't keep them in open view
• Clear browser history after public internet use

WHEN YOU'RE THERE

• Keep your passport safe
• Use only authorized taxis/use public transport
• Know common scams and how to avoid them
• Obey local laws
• Avoid attention/don't carry large amounts of cash

• Know where the US Embassy is
• Keep copied documents safe
• Have backups ready
