To much growth hormone is produced during childhood.

CAUSED BY OVERPRODUCTION OF GROUTH

And also be caused by a tumor in the pituitry gland.

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS

  • Very tall height
  • Delayed sexual maturity
  • Thick facail bones
  • Thick skin
  • Weakness and vision problems

Some doctors my ask to do blood test to measure the levels of GH. An insuline like factor called IGF-1 hormones production from the liver. Or others like oral glucose and tolerance test.

Treatment
Includes medication to reduce GH levels, radiation therapy, and surgery to remove the tumor
