Snow Leopard.

UNCIA UNCIA. (Ounce) - Lynx sized cats .

Snow leopards.

  • Genus: Panthera or Uncia; Species: uncia, or unica.
  • Snow leopards are apart of the feline cat family.
  • The true length of a leopard are three-four feet.
  • Their shoulder are twenty four inches off of the ground.
  • Snow leopards have a bushy tail three feet long to protect from the cold.

  • The Native central Asian leopards is a rare sight with only 6,000 left in the wild.
  • They're hunted for their beautiful, warm fur & for their organs which are used in Chinese medicines.
  • Snow leopards usually prey on ibex, & blue sheep. It can also take down an animal three times it's own weight.
  • Snow leopards doesn't have a true predator, the only threat to Uncia Uncia are humans & global warming.
  • Co inhabitants are Blue sheep, boars, hares, mice, deer, & also marmots.

Fun facts.

  • Snow leopards have no relation with a leopard, it's closer to a cheetah.
  • The Snow leopard's spots: The snow leopard's rosettes are dark gray and they have smaller spots on their heads, legs and tail. Each snow leopard's spots are unique, similar to human fingerprints.
  • It's also incapable of roaring.
  • A female on heat attracts males by the smell of her urine.
  • Life span of 15-19 years.
