THE ESOPHAGUS IS A TEN INCH LONG TUBE THAT TAKES SECONDS FOR FOOD TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE STOMACH. PERASTALSIS BEGINS

THE STOMACH

THE STOMACH IS CHAMBER FOR STORAGE AND MIXTURE AND TURNS FOOD INTO CHYME WHICH IS SENDED TO SMALL INTESTINE

THE LIVER

HELPS BREAK UP BLOBS OF FAT AND REMOVES TOXINS FROM DIGESTED FOOD.

THE SMALL INTESTINES

HERE THE VILLI ABSORBS 95% OF THE NUTRIENTS IN FOOD. IT IS 16-20FT LONG

THE LARGE INSTINE

UNDIGESTED FOOD TRAVELS THROUGH LARGE INTESTINE, MUSCLES SQUEEZE AND RELAX TO PUSH WASTE THROUGH.

RECTUM

5-6INCH LONG TUBE AT THE END OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.

VILLI

ABSORBS NUTRIENTS IN FOOD AND PASSES THEM THROUGH BLOOD STREAM.
